Tatsuki Fujimoto: The Idea of Chainsaw Man Part 2 Has Been Decided

Based on the Twitter account @WSJ_Manga on Friday, April 30, 2021, in Part 2 of Yuji Kaku's interview with Tatsuki Fujimoto as the mangaka of Chainsaw Man, Fujimoto revealed that the idea for Chainsaw Man Part 2 had been decided.

This serialization is scheduled to follow the original series starting from Volume 12. (Part 1 previously ended at volume 11).

As this will be a "completely different story", the title may change to Chainsaw Man Season 2, although this is all still undecided, along with the logo and cover design. Interestingly, Fujimoto was told that he was free to draw and write regardless of the outcome.

Kaku praised Fujimoto's freedom when it came to serialization, although Fujimoto himself wondered if he would be able to publish something like that in Jump, being somewhat hesitant.

Chainsaw Man Part 2 is still scheduled to be published in the upcoming Shonen Jump +.
