Solo Leveling Will Have a Live-Action and Game Adaptation

The Korean web "South Maeil Business News Korea" reported on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 that the novel series written by Chugong, Solo Leveling was announced to have a live-action drama project produced in the United States, and a video game project.

The video game will be developed by South Korean company Netmarble, which has previously produced several game titles such as The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross, MARVEL Future Fight, Seven Knights, and many others.

Meanwhile, regarding the live-action drama project, the article reveals that the company is in dialogue with several studios in the United States to produce the project, including about its distribution via streaming platforms such as Netflix or Amazon Prime Video. The article also mentions that the Warner Bros. company has shown interest in the project, however, so far no decisions have been made about it.

Meanwhile, Chugong has been publishing the Solo Leveling novel digitally since last July 2016, and since then it has been published through a different publisher. The webtoon adaptation has been published since March 2018 through KakaoPage by Jang Sung-rak. The webtoon's first season ended on March 19, 2020, and the second started on August 1 of the same year.

Synopsis:
