Violet Evergarden Movie Received an Award from the Kyoto Government
The official Twitter account for the film project based on the light novel Violet Evergarden, announced that Violet Evergarden the Movie had been awarded the "Grand Prize" at the Kyoto Digital Amusement Awards. This award is given directly by the local government of Kyoto Prefecture.

The film opens in Japanese theaters on September 18, 2020, and takes the No. 2 in weekly gross revenue on its opening weekend.
It was the film also released at Dolby Cinemas, with a public opening on November 13 in Japan. In addition, this film was also screened in Indonesia on March 4 in several regions.
Kyoto Animation had previously postponed the film's release due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on production.
The film was slated for release in Japanese theaters on April 24, 2020, although this is actually the second delay, as its initial screening was announced on January 10, 2020. Even so, Violet Evergarden was able to earn this valuable award.
