Kakkou no Iinazuke Manga Gets a Novel Adaptation

The manga series written and illustrated by Miki Yoshikawa, titled Kakkou no Iinazuke (A Couple of Cuckoos), was announced to have a novel adaptation to be published on April 14, 2021 in Japan.

The novel adaptation based on the manga series was confirmed to be done by Yuuki Arisawa.

The cover for the first volume of the novel adaptation is more or less the same as the manga version. The cover can be seen below:


About Kakkou no Iinazuke (A Couple of Cuckoos)

Kakkou no Iinazuke (A Couple of Cuckoos) was originally a one-shot chapter by Miki Yoshikawa released in September 2019.

Because it is very interesting, popular and has a lot of enthusiasts, it was finally decided to make the continuation of the story serialized from the initial chapter.

The serialization of the manga Kakkou no Iinazuke was released in January 2020 in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine.

Meanwhile, as we mentioned earlier Yuuki Arisawa will be working on a novel adaptation.


Nagi Umino is a 17-year old second-year high school student who learns that he is not the biological child of the family that raised him. 

On the way to his first meeting with his biological family he meets Erika Amano, a popular internet celebrity who is trying to escape from an arranged marriage. 

Later, Nagi and Erika discover that their parents had accidentally switched the two after their births and were now aiming to put them in an arranged marriage. To facilitate this, they are made to live in a house owned by Erika's family.
