Large version of Attack on Titan Manga Is Ready to Break World Records

Kodansha announced that they will be releasing a large version of the Attack on Titan manga with the aim of becoming the largest in the world. It will be sold in limited quantities, only 100 units starting at noon on April 6th.

The current record is held by the comic book “Turma da Mônica” by Mauricio de Sousa Produções, which was released in Sao Paulo, Brazil has been certified as “The largest comic book published” by Guinness World Records on 5 August 2018. The book covers an area of 6,976, 02 square centimeters, with a width of 69.9 cm and a height of 99.8, and a weight of 1.92 kilograms.

The volume size of this large version of the Attack on Titan aims to exceed that record by becoming the largest in the world, six to seven times larger than usual.

The size of the book is: 70.4 cm wide by 100 cm long, and still maintains a weight of 13.7 kilograms. If one hundred books are sold, this book will be officially recognized as the new record holder.

The contents of the book are a reproduction of the first volume of the manga. Includes the first and second chapters (total 96 pages). The sales period starts at noon, March 6 at the Kodansha publisher's online shop and will be priced at 150,000 yen, then shipments will begin in May.

Isayama began publishing the manga in Kodansha's Bessatsu Shonen Magazine in September 2009. The thirty-second compiled volume was published on September 9, followed by thirty-three on January 8. The Attack on Titan manga will end in April.
